Education and professional background

Lauren studied Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen’s University in Canada. During her time at university, she completed design projects including a solar-powered hydrogen production facility, a concrete toboggan, and a mechanical component optimization using FEA.

She previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer where she developed designs for bespoke deck and pipeline equipment for the offshore industry. She was responsible for all stages of project delivery from a blank sheet of paper to a finished product.

Lauren is certified with BOSIET and GWO.

Lauren’s expertise

Lauren is proficient in 2D and 3D CAD modelling, finite element analysis, technical calculations, and creating engineering drawings, allowing her to understand projects at each stage. Her technical background as a design engineer enables her to work through problems logically and thoroughly. Reach out to talk about:

Outside of work

Outside of work you can find Lauren spending time with her family and friends or exploring the outdoors. Having grown up in Canada, she loves going on canoe camping and hiking trips, skiing, and running.
