Viking Link is the worlds longest onshore and subsea interconnector, linking the UK’s National Grid to Denmark’s Energinet. The interconnector enables the sharing of renewable energy between the nations and is predicted to save 600,000t of carbon emissions in its first year! Tadek Ocean Engineering are proud to have supported the project.
Project Engineer Jake Rowland-Crosby led the engineering for the Danish landfall of the cable bundle to deliver operational documentation for the pull-in, management of daily progress meetings and stakeholder engagement throughout the scope.

Supported by Tadek Ocean Engineering naval architects Ahmed Hassona, Charles Smith and Timothy Borg, the team also provided on-site project engineering support to the exemplary operations leads David Freeburn (ROVER), Tara Liggett, Nick Puttick, Jimmy Down and others, to ensure compliance to documentation, safe & efficient operations, and to maintain as-built records for post installation reporting.
Well done to all those involved in such a landmark project!
Please reach out to Jake Rowland-Crosby and team for any similar project support requirements.
