Education and professional background
Wisdom graduated with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics from Newcastle University. During his time at university, he designed and built a chassis for Mars Rover Robot, Autonomous Lifting Crane among other projects.
He specialised in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), modelling bespoke design structures for lifting and maintenance application in the rail sector. Wisdom recently joined Tadek where he is developing his skills and knowledge of design and structures in the offshore sector.
Wisdom’s expertise
Wisdom is a capable problem solver and reliable team player, which he puts to good use alongside his CAD and FEA capabilities, to prove the capability of existing solutions as well as developing new ones. He can take projects from concept through to manufacturing drawings and all the steps in between.
In his previous role, Wisdom designed bespoke maintenance equipment for trains (including hydraulic manipulators and power jacks, battery powered train bogies) using Inventor. He applied calculations and stress analysis (FEA) where relevant to ensure design safety/specification. Also, he prepared cost estimation sheet using excel and price quotation documents (PDF) for customers. Upon approval, Wisdom procured materials (from domestic and international supplier) for live projects. He then prepared manufacturing drawing (ISO) for fabrication works (welding, machine works and fasteners), and inspection documents on fabrication works. Wisdom also assisted in preparing method statement with story board for installation on site. Lastly, he organised delivery of final products to customers in accordance with deadline.

Outside of work
Wisdom enjoys Football, Tennis, F1 Racing, Chess and Gym. He played football when he was attending the university and was one of the founding members of the Mechanical engineering football team (Mech Eng FC). Wisdom loves to compete, and he won multiple titles playing football at the university. He also enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures.
