The tool enables engineers to interrogate the impact of temporary installation phase durations, such as delays to burial operations, on the overall fatigue budget at the planning stage. A live life-cycle dashboard then compares the design-predicted damage trajectory against actual accumulated damage, giving engineers an immediate read on whether the cable is consuming its fatigue budget faster than anticipated. This capability underpins smarter, evidence-based decisions on remedial and preventive maintenance strategies before end-of-life limits are approached.
