The top section of the Template-NMS was lifted on at our Heerema Fabrication Group location in Vlissingen. The NMS-T-10000, constructed at Heerema Marine Contractors and developed in close cooperation with IQIP®, will be able to mitigate approx. 15 dB of the waterborne noise. Truly a Heerema group team effort ✅💪

All three companies contributed to this enormous piece of equipment known as the Noise Mitigation System (NMS 10000). With the capacity to install monopiles up to 10m in diameter, 15dB driving noise reduction, levelling up to 3 degrees bottom slope and capabilities to be used up to 42m in water depth, it’s an essential tool for future installations of offshore wind. Next steps are to commission and test all T-NMS systems to be ready for the first project which will be EnBW He Dreiht foundations.
