Education and professional background

Alexander holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University where he gained a solid foundation in system design, mission planning, fluid analysis, and international communication. He has worked on several research engineering efforts including a NASA drone for use over the Southern Ocean and an in-space manufacturing satellite at the Technische Universität Braunschweig in Germany.

Alexander also gained experience at Northrop Grumman in Los Angeles, where he was involved in mission architecture and preparing technical presentations for clients.

Alexander’s expertise

Alex’s experience and technical skillset enables him to excel in environments requiring broad technical expertise, flexible planning, and clear communication. He leverages his exposure to a variety of mechanical challenges to effectively bridge the gap between analysis and final implementation.

Alexander’s expertise

Alex’s most memorable project is a high-altitude delivery drone I designed and prototyped for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center to return data from long endurance balloon missions over the Southern Ocean. He was a member of the project team for over a year, working from the initial proposal through the first flight test flight over the New Mexico desert. During this time, He conceptualised and analysed the mission profile, optimized system designs, and led the prototype manufacturing team. To conclude the project, he travelled with NASA for testing acting as a project engineer.

Outside of work

Alexander has a wide range of hobbies he pursues. He is a licensed pilot, enjoys many activities on the water (scuba diving, surfing, skiing, whitewater kayaking, driving boats), and plays several sports on land (volleyball, rock climbing, anything with a racket). He is always looking for opportunities to explore new places and meet people.
