Education and professional background
Gilbert holds a bachelor’s degree in general engineering from Swansea University, providing a broad technical foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering, with a focus on sustainability. His academic experience includes systems modelling, control engineering and sustainable design. Professionally, Gilbert has gained hands-on experience operating autonomous agricultural robots, contributing to the development and application of innovative engineering technologies. He also brings a strong background in safety-critical operations through his experience as a RNLI lifeguard, where he developed skills in risk assessment, teamwork and decision-making under pressure
Gilbert’s expertise
As a Graduate Project Engineer at Tadek, Gilbert contributes to the planning, coordination and technical delivery of marine engineering projects, applying his multidisciplinary knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering to support effective project execution.
Outside of work
Gilbert is an outdoorsman who loves spending time out exploring and, in the ocean, whether it be surfing, snowboarding, climbing or running. He is also passionate about team sports and anything with a racket!
